Terms of use
A few things to know about using this site.

Effective September 11, 2026
We offer peer support, not professional care
Our House NYC provides peer grief support. Nothing on this website is medical, mental-health, or legal advice, and our programs are not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. If you are concerned about your own or a loved one's wellbeing, please talk with a doctor or licensed mental-health provider.
We are not a crisis service
If you or someone you know needs immediate help, call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7. Or call 911 in an emergency.
Using our content
The words, photographs, and artwork on this site belong to Our House NYC or are used with permission. You're welcome to share links to our pages. Please ask us before reusing our content elsewhere.
Forms and accuracy
Our forms are meant to be completed by adults. When you send us information, please make sure it's accurate, and share information about a child only if you are their parent, guardian, or a school staff member working with us.
Donations and refunds
Donations are processed securely by Qgiv, our payment processor, and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. If you made a gift in error, entered the wrong amount, or want to change or cancel a recurring gift, email info@ourhousenyc.org within 30 days of the charge and we'll correct or refund it. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
Links to other sites
We sometimes link to other organizations we trust. We aren't responsible for their content or practices, and a link isn't an endorsement of everything they do.
The legal basics
This site is provided as-is, and while we work hard to keep everything accurate and available, we can't guarantee it will always be. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If we change them meaningfully, we'll update this page and its effective date. Questions? info@ourhousenyc.org.
